At CHM, we have a Nursing Department and the School of Nursing, which are headed by the Nursing Superintendent and the Principal, respectively. Currently, we have 21 Registered Nurses on staff. We also have 6 tutors, or higher-trained nurses, who have completed their postgraduate nursing training. Our student nurses also spend time in the wards, where they not only care for the sick but also learn the art of being gentle, comforting and compassionate.
Our staff nurses provide around the clock nursing care on CHM’s various wards and departments, including:
• Male and female medical and surgical wards
• Pediatric ward
• Recovery Room
• Intensive Care Unit
• Labor Room
• Obstetrics
• Nursery
• Operation Theatre (OT)
• Outpatient Department (OPD)
The many and varied duties of our dedicated nursing staff demonstrate our desire to provide holistic care at CHM, which is always a challenge; however, it gives immense joy to care for the sick.
